This is not the only place that I get containers. I collect used bottles and empty food containters from my family.
With these containers I will duct tape the containers so that they look nice and the containers will hold up. Sometimes you just have to get creative on how to make tasks.
I also use Boardmaker Plus, Boardmaker Online, Boardmaker Studio, and Classroom Suites to create different tasks. I do have a copy of all of these programs that I use. I purchased a couple of them and was lucky enough to be given one of them. Most school districts will purchase these and you can use them at your school.
Now on to some of the tasks that I have created.
This is a vocational task where the students will start from the left and work right. They would start by taking the DVD case and opening it. They would them take a a cd and place it in the case and put it in the finished basket on the right.
This is a math task. The students would sort the pieces into the correct basket. They can sort by colors or they can sort by the fraction on the cube.
This is a vocational task as well. This task I purchased on Teacher Pay Teacher. Dianne Matthew's from Adaptive Tasks came up with this wonderful task. For this task the students are creating crayon boxes. They put one of every color into the crayon box (or pocket) and place it in the finished basket.
This is a math task and a fine motor task. The students will take a colored nut and match it to the bolt. They will then put them together and place them in the finished basket when they are done.
That is it for this weeks tasks. Feel free to comment if you have any questions.
